2nd edition of B2B and Sourcing Seminar

In the period of 11-13 May 2022, the Organization for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (ODIMM) and the Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics in Germany (BME), with the support of the project “Advising the Government of the Republic of Moldova on economic policies”, organized the 2nd edition of the B2B & Sourcing Seminar Moldova. The aim of the event and B2Bs were on the one hand, to better understand the requirements of German buyers and, on the other hand, to discover new sourcing potential and to meet preselected Moldovan suppliers.

The digital B2B matchmaking and Sourcing seminar for German companies and Moldovan suppliers took place after the successful premiere last year. Thus, the organizers are building on the positive experiences and build the path to create alternatives in the area nearshoring in complex times.

” Purchasing companies and suppliers had the opportunity to find out the current trends and requirements, to make contacts and to have the initialization matchmaking meetings, that led to at least 5 Expression of Interest in future collaboration”, emphasized Rodica Crudu, the Head of International Cooperation Department at ODIMM.

Olaf Holzgrefe, the Head of International, BME, stated” BME is glad to be able to show German companies alternatives in such complex times together with GIZ for the second time. Especially now, new contacts, new options and reliable partners are more important than ever. At the same time, it is important for Moldovan companies and suppliers to receive first-hand information about requirements, developments, and the concrete needs of German companies. With this project, the bridge built last year will be further expanded.”

Within the 3 days event, beside the designated sourcing seminar were held more than 30 B2B meetings between the representatives of domestic companies and the representatives of German companies to present their services and products and to establish potential cooperation.

It is worth mentioning that both the event and bilateral meetings were organized and assisted by the Organization for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprise Sector (ODIMM) in partnership with the Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics in Germany (BME), with the support of the project “Advising the Government of the Republic of Moldova on economic policies”, implemented by GIZ Moldova with the financial support of the Government of Germany and the Government of Switzerland.
